Our collective impact

Avril’s success is built on cooperation with the upstream agricultural sector, its customers, its employees, and its stakeholders. Development, innovation, and collaboration form the foundation of a collective effort that drives the Group’s sustainable growth.
In 2025, numerous initiatives reinforced this positive momentum.

WORKING FOR AND WITH THE STAKEHOLDERS OF THE FRENCH FARMING SECTOR

The success of the agricultural transition necessarily depends on a collective commitment from all stakeholders, as well as partnerships, action plans, and development initiatives that are the result of joint discussions and contributions. In 2025, Avril continued to spearhead and support projects aimed at strengthening French agriculture.

Preparing for the agriculture of tomorrow: a collective challenge

Sofiprotéol, together with the FASO (the French Oilseed Strategic Action Fund dedicated to innovation), plays a central role. With an annual budget of €5 million, it funds innovation projects and prospective studies.
The FASO approach? Strong partnerships and funding from interprofessional contributions (CVO) capable of creating leverage.

Full support for the French breeding sector

As part of its ongoing support plan for livestock farmers and with the aim of going beyond one-time financial assistance, Avril launched the Pro’pulse program in 2025, led by its subsidiary Sanders. This program offers personalized, long-term support designed to facilitate generational succession and ensure the sustainability of farms.

Pro’pulse is designed for young people who are taking over or starting a farm.
The program takes a comprehensive approach, combining technical, financial, organizational, and human resources support.
Pro’pulse utilizes 20 tools organized around four pillars:
• Building a sustainable business plan
• Ensuring long-term profitability
• Making day-to-day operations easier
• Effectively communicating about the business

SHARED INNOVATION

At Avril, innovation is a shared endeavor, involving not only the academic community but also our customers, our teams, and all stakeholders in the sector. By leveraging our internal expertise and fostering constructive, forward-thinking partnerships with our customers, while empowering every employee to take initiative in developing new solutions, we’ve found a winning approach to accelerating innovation.

A new integrated hub to accelerate sustainable innovation

Opened in April 2025 on the Group’s campus near Rennes, the Innolab in Bruz is Avril’s integrated in-house laboratory dedicated to human food and animal nutrition.
Its mission is to accelerate innovation, ensure the performance of solutions, and support agricultural, food, and environmental transitions.
It serves as a hub for collaboration between researchers and industry experts, working to support the sectors and customers.

A COLLABORATIVE ECOSYSTEM

Avril fosters a collaborative innovation ecosystem for employees, centered around two programs: first, “Darwin”, an ambitious intrapreneurship program whose fourth edition will take place in 2026; and second, “Nourrir la Vie”, which invites employees each year to propose initiatives aligned with our purpose.

In November 2025, “Nourrir la Vie” brought together nearly 1,000 people, both in Paris and online, under the theme “Unity leads to success.”
MiXscience stands out this year with three award-winning projects, illustrating its active contribution to innovation.
This year, a “purpose” award was added to the “Nourrir la Vie” themes to support team engagement and highlight their ideas.
Two projects were awarded.

ALL COMMITTED TO SAFETY

Safety is a top priority for Avril at all its sites and across all its operations. In 2025, the Group is stepping up its efforts on the ground, working closely with both its teams and suppliers, to accelerate progress and achieve record results at its historic sites.

WeCare 2: A Commitment to Safety That Pays Off

We Care 2 (the health and safety plan for 2024–2027) builds on and expands the safety initiatives Avril has been implementing since 2013 to ensure the protection of its teams and those of its suppliers.

The program aims to strengthen prevention efforts at the field level by focusing on both reducing the number of accidents and on the control of high-potential, high-severity risks.
In 2025, We Care 2 will reach a new milestone with the rollout of the LMRA (Last Minute Risk Assessment) method. The year 2025 will also see greater support for external contractors to better prevent accidents related to joint operations and align safety requirements with our external partners.

Soficare 2025: Taking Action to Combat Road Safety Risks

In 2025, Soficare continues its commitment to health and safety in the workplace by bringing together Sofiprotéol’s stakeholders and Avril’s Health and Safety teams for a key event focused on sharing initiatives and best practices.

The 5th edition of the Rencontres Soficare conference was held on June 25, 2025, in Paris, with a central theme focused on road safety, including a panel discussion, a presentation by the Gendarmerie Nationale, and a session on safety leadership featuring a presentation by General Dutartre, former leader of the Patrouille de France.

A HUMAN COLLECTIVE AT THE HEART OF OUR SUCCESS

The Women and Men at Avril are its greatest asset. Enabling them to thrive in the best possible environment is therefore a top priority, which has been the focus of major action plans in 2025 and has been recognized through Great Place to Work certification.

Great Place to Work: Building Trust

The Great Place to Work survey, conducted annually across the Group, generated significant engagement in 2025. Participation increased compared to last year.

With an 81% participation rate and a 71% confidence index, these results are a source of collective pride and a clear indication of what unites Avril’s teams: a commitment to our purpose, as well as the initiatives we’ve implemented to promote safety, inclusion, and well-being in the workplace.
They also highlight a recognized managerial quality, based on approachability, active listening, and daily communication.
