DIVERSIFYING HUMAN NUTRITION
Avril continues to expand its range of high-quality plant proteins for human consumption, meeting growing consumer expectations while creating new outlets for legume-based agricultural sectors.
A recognized plant-based offering
Alongside edible oils, Avril’s Consumer Goods brands are expanding their product ranges to appeal to consumers. At Puget, the new marinades launched in 2024 won the Grand Prix Marmiton, and the brand was once again voted "France’s Favorite Brand."
Costa d’Oro, our Italian subsidiary, launched six new pasta sauces in 2024, along with spreads and a super-premium olive line for gourmet shops and restaurants.
HARi&CO, 10 years and still innovating!
In 2024, HARi&CO celebrated its 10th anniversary with the launch of three new products to spice up the appetizer table! Spring rolls, samosas, and empanadas—all 100% plant-based and 100% delicious, made with legumes—are already winning over consumers. The line was awarded the Carrefour Innovation Prize 2024. HARi&CO is also expanding its offer for food service.

High value-added food ingredients
In 2024, at the “Food Ingredients Europe” trade show, Avril brought together its subsidiaries Oleon, Saipol, Lesieur, Sunbloom Proteins, and Vivien Paille Ingredients on a single stand. A demonstration of the Group’s ability to integrate plant-based solutions for the food industry.
New solutions from sunflower
Sunbloom Proteins joined Avril in 2023. This start-up produces a protein-rich food ingredient derived from sunflower, offering unique nutritional, functional, and sensory properties. In addition, sunflower proteins are non-allergenic, non-GMO, and of European origin—clear advantages that are increasingly appealing to customers committed to the food transition and seeking to diversify their product offerings.

BIO-SOURCED PRODUCTS: A HEALTHY, SUSTAINABLE SOLUTION
Plant-protein chemistry offers a sustainable alternative to petrochemicals, particularly for the furniture industry, by providing responsible solutions.
A healthier interior
Evertree develops and markets bio-based adhesive solutions to replace petroleum-based resins. The goal is twofold: to offer users healthier products and to decarbonize the production of composite wood, while ensuring technical properties comparable to panels made with petroleum-based resins.
The rapeseed and sunflower cakes used in this product are sourced from local agricultural chains, creating a new outlet for French farming practices. More.

Fleurs: the new kitchen
The “Fleurs” kitchen, born from the partnership between Cuisines Morel and Evertree, is revolutionizing interior design by combining aesthetics, health, and environmental responsibility. It replaces the petroleum-based glue traditionally used in particleboard with Evertree’s innovative plant-based resin made from rapeseed and sunflower. This formaldehyde-free resin delivers the same technical performance as conventional petroleum-based panels.
Fleurs is the first kitchen line to use this plant-based technology, significantly reducing its carbon footprint. The panels are 98% bio-based and made primarily from sawmill residues.
OUR LEVERS FOR THE FUTURE
Supporting French sectors
Sofiprotéol, Avril’s investment and development subsidiary, is supporting CIACAM, France’s leading dry legume trading company, to boost its growth and strengthen local sourcing. With 70 years of expertise, the company markets 65,000 tons of chickpeas, lentils, and beans annually, promoting sustainable agriculture and the self-sufficiency of French supply chains. Legumes naturally fix nitrogen, helping reduce the need for fertilizers, improve crop rotation, and provide excellent nutritional benefits.

The "solutions for sustainable livestock farming" innovation platform
In 2024, the "Solutions for Sustainable Livestock" platform continued its efforts to promote more competitive livestock farming with lower environmental impact—specifically in terms of methane emissions and waste—and aimed for a drastic reduction in the use of antibiotics and other chemical products. Avril and MiXscience have been working for many years on approaches to reduce soy in animal feed.
Avril has developed the PROVEA range, made up of high-protein products derived from peas, fava beans, and sunflower. This line of plant-based protein concentrates—each with more than 50% protein content—targets aquaculture, pet food, and young animal nutrition and will launch in 2025. With PROVEA, Avril is addressing the growing demand for alternatives to imported soy by offering low-carbon, sustainable solutions sourced from French or European agricultural supply chains, with guaranteed traceability.
