What is B100? What is Oleo100?

The generic term “B100” refers to a 100% plant-based fuel (B for “biodiesel” and 100 for its proportion of plant-based components). Similarly, there are blends such as B7, B20, B30, etc.

Oleo100 is the name of the B100-type biodiesel produced and marketed by Saipol, a subsidiary of Avril. Made in France and composed entirely of French rapeseed, Oleo100 biodiesel reduces greenhouse gas emissions by more than 60% and fine particulate emissions by up to 80%. It is therefore a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels, readily available for captive fleets.

By 2025, more than 18,000 vehicles are running on Oleo100 B100, actively contributing to the decarbonization of road transport.
